Calendar of Events | Blue Envelope Campaign | Child Abuse Awareness Month | Divine Desserts | Womanless Fashion Show
One November day, I found the courage to do
something that many never do:
I TOLD
Sharing my secret changed
my life and the life of my family, but
for better or worse,
I TOLD!
Unfortunately, I am ONE
of many....
WE CANNOT CHANGE WHAT HAPPENED TO EMILY, BUT WE CAN CHANGE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT.
Blue, it represents many things: the sky, a baby boy, a fleeting robin, the ocean. Most importantly it has come to represent child abuse awareness. Each year hundreds of thousands of Americans proudly wear the blue ribbon, some in April, which is child abuse awareness month and some all year long. It seems to me we must commit to awareness all year long, whether we are wearing a ribbon or not, our children need assurance that our goal in society should be to ensure safety, security and happiness. Child abuse is tragic, unnecessary and unacceptable.
The Blue Envelope offers hope and healing to our children. It represents the opportunity for every person to echo the statement “Child abuse is tragic, unnecessary and unacceptable”.
In November and December we celebrate the exceptional services we were able to provide to hurting children through our Blue Envelope Giving Campaign. Every donation goes towards general operating expenses to ensure another year can go by in which our children have access to CAC and CASA programs.
